Y’all it is spring! The time of change. Renewal. Light. Finally, right? This post is overdue, but with this particular spring, there’s some extra change happening in my life. No details, just yet, but while I’ve thought about writing, it hasn’t really been on the front burner. As a result, I’m following the KISS method for this post. Keep. It. Simple. Stupid. Sometimes you just have to apply that acronym to life. Sometimes you want things that take up more time. But if you find yourself exhausted, think about it. Are you keeping it simple, and stupid? There’s no reason to add extra and pile on to what I can imagine is an already packed schedule in this go-go-go world (especially D.C. … even after the holidays it just doesn’t quite stop, right? Instead of parties, you just want to be outside all.of.the.time). It’s important to maintain this mindset, especially in a time of change.
I have a very full, ICYMI, reading list. Some things you may think you want to implement this spring. And some of them might not seem simple to you and follow KISS, and guess what? That’s okay. Self-love, kindness, that’s what it’s all about. Find out what works for you. The word “no” is okay. I promise.
